"Would you be so curtious as to tell the chief? I'd like to have a talk with young Maplekit here." Feathertail gazed into Lilyheart's eyes. The fighter fliped her tail, understanding, and stalked out of the den.
The Chief's den was just across the clearing. The fighter trotted there, knowing her news was pressing. She stopped just before the entrance to wash Maplekit's blood from her flank. The news of Bareskins on Tribe territory was bad enough without the Chief having to worry about an injured kit. Lilyheart approached the entrance of the den and called out her Cheif's name and waited to be invited into the den.

Thrushstar stood pacing in his large, underground den. 'Riverstar, we need you,...I need you. This tribe is going to pieces, and I'm the only one who knows about it!' The new, unstable Chief finally forced himself back on his haunches.
'I can't...I can hardly keep this up. Bareskin sightings have been reported lately, and I'm doing the best I can to keep the Tribe together. But it's not enough.' Devoid from the Deputy position he held only a moon ago, Thrushstar wanted nothing more than to still be called Thrushpelt.
Suddenly, the Chief's ears pricked up. A cat was coming his way, and the young tom straightened himself and attempted to relax his face as best he could. He waited silently for several seconds before he heard his name being called, and then silence.
"Please enter," Thrushstar meowed, forcing down a stutter.

Lilyheart slipped quietly into the underground den, pawsteps sounding abnormally loud in the confined space. The Cheif was sitting in the center of his den with his tail wrapped around his tail. A perfectly relaxed facade greeted the fighter. She lowered her head respectfully before her Tribe's leader. "Sorry to bother you, Thrushstar, but I have some news you might want to hear." Lilyheart paused. "There has been more evidence of increased Bareskin activity in our territory. We recently found some sort of metal object that belongs to them."
She refrained from mentioning Maplekit. The new Chief had enough to worry about lest she add on the news if a disobedient and injured kit.
